In 2001 the book continued publishing worldwide and was written in the lists of best sellers in thirty languages into which it had been translated by then.
In September, 2002 Paulo made a real sensation, having gone to Russia with his five books which got simultaneously in the list of local best sellers: "Devil and signoritta Prim" (number the first) which followed "Alchemist", "Book of the Warrior of Light ", " Veronika decides to die " " the Fifth mountain ". Only for two weeks in Russia over 250000 copies of his books were sold, and for one year - more than one million.
Paulo constantly keeps in contact with mass media by means of numerous interviews, and also articles in newspapers and magazines. For some years he wrote a lot of articles and sketches for all most influential editions. Paulo Coelho is awarded with a set of prestigious awards.
